March/April/May
So far March has been great! I’m very excited about everything I’ve got coming up in the next few months. Where to begin…
For one, The Bigger Lights release their full length the 30th! Everyone should make sure to pick up a copy. There is some great stuff on there and I think people will be very happy with how it turned out! I’m so happy for the guys because I know they’re really proud of it and looking forward to everyone hearing it.
Another thing I’m excited about is that Ryan Dunson, from Rookie Of The Year, contacted me this week about doing the promotion for their new record which will be released around late May. I’m stoked to be working with him. He seems like a really cool dude. I’ve already decided that I’m putting the money I earn from that project towards my half sleeve.
I honestly just love Spring in general. I am always so sick of the nasty weather by the time spring rolls around. The weather has been decent, but sadly it’s supposed to snow again Sunday… Hopefully that will be the last of the winter weather! Living here definitely makes me miss Texas & Arizona!
Then there’s the fact that I’m moving Grand Rapids with Lizzie this summer! I found a few really cute apartments. They’re all right downtown and definitely places I could see myself living. I can’t wait to decorate! I’ve got my room planned out already and everything and some cute ideas for the living room! There’s also a few bars up there that I’m going to apply at. :) I don’t really want to bartend again, but I like the tips!
Last, but not least, I’m going back to school this summer. I’ve got 2 years left then I’m all done! I’m beyond excited about that! Taking a break was definitely a good idea and it helped me refocus. I’m actually looking forward to going back though!
I won’t be going to as many shows this spring because I’m going to be working a lot more as well as working on promo for ROTY, but you better believe I will be all over this summer! I’ve been talking to Zach from Since Forever quite a bit so hopefully they’ll play some shows up here or somewhere around this area. He seems like a really cool dude and he sends long texts like me. haha. I also really want to go see some shows in NYC/Boston so I can see Alyssa & Christina… AND go see as many ROTY, TBL, This Prov, ARTTM & Great Big Planes shows as possible! I plan to be gone 75% of the summer so I need to earn as much money as possible in the next few months!
